...is one of the most fundamental parts of our identity. For those of us who love to sing, when we use our voice it becomes an evocation of self. Navigating the various and many pathways of our evolving vocal self is often a journey best not done alone. This is where vocal tuition is supportive and singing in a choir or vocal ensemble becomes essential.
The vocal lesson provides us with the necessary tools to explore this 'vocal self' in a safe and affirming way, building on our natural capacity for sound making, and guiding the voice toward its most positive realisation. Lessons build on natural strengths and capabilities which gradually unfold over time and with effort.
All students of voice have the potential to develop and build the skills necessary to enjoy a rich and rewarding vocal life. As with all things of value, effort is in direct alignment to reward. Consistent and dedicated approaches are key (pardon the pun) to vocal success. For students who are initially willing to set aside little more than 1% of their day to singing practice, the rewards will be quickly evident.
